V8landy
Amazing simulation on us in relation to the known universe. Made me feel a little insignificant. http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ap100120.html

KFC
What I feel really sad about is that we're always fighting over "our bit" of this speck of dust in the universe.
MM
Brill  (not the fish) You watch that and think "we are not alone". If you have never been, a visit to NASA is well worth the money spent. :good:
paulos
I also find them fascinating. Mind boggling :good: It kind of makes religion seem laughable as well, the thought that amongst all of that there is a god who gives two hoots about how we behave down here on our speck of dirt, floating in space
Wesman
I just find it amazing how us on this tiny spec in the great scheme of things came to be. How simple things like sitting here watching Thomas the tank with my boy give me so much happiness. I'm not religious at all but it does make me think that maybe we weren't a fluke and there may be something out there. Alternatively, if we are a fluke (we as in earth) then surely there must be another planet that found the same conditions for life in the expanses of space. unclestuffy
It makes you wonder what was there before the big bang? I am just waiting for Eric Idle to spring out of the cupboard and sing about the universe before I donate an organ, whilst still living, courtesy of John Cleese
henry d
It kind of makes religion seem laughable as well, the thought that amongst all of that there is a god who gives two hoots about how we behave down here on our speck of dirt, floating in space  ....or that he created it just for us, now there`s Love I also like the scientific approach about the big bang....... everything came into being from a single point X billion years ago, yeah right, not without a creator it didn`t ! I quite like video about it, start at 1-40 if you aren`t too religious and go from there
Floating Chamber
It's all a con! They can do wonders these days with Paintbrush Pro. FACT: The Earth is flat and mounted on the back of four elephants that themselves stand on the back of a turtle. These scientists should get a life!
