foghorn
Hi, I have 12 paid £25 for six, they seem ok and don't take up much space, but i did have lots of problems getting them from the supplier.

Jesse James
Hi, I have been using mine for the last 4 months at least and so far so good, the only thing i notice is when they get wet they go dark and the white wing bar is not so bright..... One of the plastic rivets has also broken and the back of the bird its now open but not a problem. I have used them mixed with other decoys and on there own and as said seem to work well. I understand there meant to be on there own when used...? Ta

Stockport-Tony
After looking at them i think there a little small although they do look realistic. @ Jesse James, i'm sure you'll know but if not spare rivets are available for them. Cosd
So what you guys going to do when the crops get taller? Most decoys have ways of getting them to sit higher, but I can't see how you are going to get around this looking at the Fuds
Jesse James
I have used mine by sticking the metal red leg / feet to canes by use of small cable tie... Lee.
Jesse James
I'm also looking at a way to make them into lofting decoys too by simply adding a hook to the metal legs which already make the counter balance weight and helps to loft them.... so far they have multi use for me. yates
Have any of you guys got any of those FUD decoys. If you have what do you think of them. Taking mine out for the first time this weekend
Zapp
There are quite a few threads on this topic. Rather than trawling for them, the best thing to do would be to do a search for "FUD" on the forum search tool, which is in the upper right corner of the PW display. rigwallet
to say rubbish is a understatement in my mind they seem to have put the emphasis on the user rather than the wood pigeon which is suppose to attract. I have used them on their own on four occasions since purchase and can say the were poor is being sporting. whos catching who with these ? yickdaz
i have used em since last september and find them very good i have used em with no other decoy aids and can say they work very well.but having said that if you are in the right place and the pigeons want the part of field you are set up any type of pigeon decoy will work. humperdingle
I bought 6 to replace the tatty looking flocked full body decoys i've been using. Haven't tried them in the field yet, but they certainly look good, and are MUCH more compact to carry.
yates
Took my FUD's out at the weekend, set them up with some shells and had birds coming in before i got back to the hide. Pigeons consistantly came into the pattern. I had my best day so far. My first impressions about FUD's is positive. But i suppose you can't really say how good they are until you use them on their own but i don't have enough deeks to do that yet
tabs
Have used them for a 2 months in between using silosocks on the days when they felt right, they work well, no doubt, you will require some movement outside of the fuds tho'. However, after 4 outings, plastic "rivets" have disintegrated at the tail on a few (rough storage and handling, but nothing unusual given the nature of use and carriage). I would suggest getting a dozen if you can afford another £50 string to your bow. If you are pulling birds into your pattern with what you are using then stick with what works. The "magnets have had there day" argument is relevant to this point. In heavily shot areas a change will be necessary now and then, I however, dont believe that woodys inherit hard wired danger signals of mechanically turning birds or specific decoys. Mix it up, the current generation of birds have not seen it all as it will always be. Tabs
proTOM1
A friend of mine did a test with his fuds silo socks and normal floacked decoys today on a field of drilled peas first he put out the fuds 12 of them nothing else he said there was a good number of birds around and had some come stright in but other showed no interest at all after an hour he moved on to the silo socks again he said good numbers flying and the silos were pulling birds from all over the place then he put out the flocked decoys some came in other just went over not looking at all . In his 3 hours the score was fuds 13 silos 27 and the flocked shells 10 he thought that all were ok but he really was shocked with how good the silo socks were , as he also said if your in the right place at the right time it does not really matter what decoys you have out if they wont to feed where you are they will come no matter what !
