Brad93
Do you mean 150 feet? Surely not even an FAC is capable of 150 yards Edited April 20, 2010 by Brad93

steve0146
Of course.. why shoot a hare this time of year anyway, unless they are a real pest in your area.

SSS
Sorry but I won't be leaving a well done comment. I would never shoot a hare with an air rifle because they are too big. The size difference between a fox and a hare is very small, and as we know from the air rifle/fox debate is that is a no go. And at 150yards or feet, it was a stupid shot. Another thing is, the hares have not long had leveretts, so again another reason for not doing it. Before anyone jumps on anything I have said, it is my opinion
Tam
Please learn some respect for Hares - while I agree that an air rifle may kill a Hare cleanly it has not sufficient power to do it consistently . http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/ind...showtopic=27597 Most people treat Hares as Game & respect their breading season

MM
If the landowner/farmer wants them gone, they be gone air rifle at close enough range is good enough. please lets not have the great debate though

MM
Would you agree that 150 yrds or 50yrds which ever it was, is too far to kill a hare with a legal limit air rifle? Personaly i think yes, it is stretching it a bit. Its never as simple as that though. The OP might be the world 50 yard target champion, yet im a bit 'loose' at 50 yards. Its all down to your ablilities (spel) i would imagine.
KillStone
whilst i wudnt shoot them at this time of year and dont anyway as there arent enough round me i would have full confidence in my non FAC aa s410 in .22 to kill a hare at 50yds. it really is about the placement of the pellet/bullet no matter of calibre or type.i will regularly and consistently take out rabbits up to 60 yards with clean head shots the same for pigeons. i am not boasting and do not want any aggro. but these are facts make of them what u will!! dogfox
jesus eat the damn thing, what gets on its fur isnt going to matter after its cooked! doesnt matter what gets on it. AND lets not start the whole "oooh 150 feet with an air rifle is dodgy"...it may be but it is still dead isnt it...
