Got bitten to pieces. What do you guys use to keep them at bay? Garlic capsules , takes a while to get into your system , you can get them in Aldis quite cheap , take 1 a day the mossies hate it i spent 2 months in the jungle in Belize and Guatamala and only got bitten a few times . Failing that use jungle formula 100% deet available from most chemists (just remember to wash it off your hands before you go to the toilet).

Harnser
Its a known fact that mozzies like certain blood groups . I happen to have one of the blood groups that they love and I suffer like hell from the little monsters . I have tried most preperations on the market and none of them work for me . Harnser . the hitman
I use tee tree oil , just a couple of drops into your palms , rub them together to heat it then rub on any exposed skin.
Beardo
My forehead looks like a mountain range after sitting up the high seat last night. Covered in mossie bites. All i saw all evening was a rat - though it was a bit silly to take it on with the 6.

garyb
The best ones are mostly Deet based. That said, touching guns / cameras / kit etc after application can be expensive! I once turned a black digital camera white, after applying 100% deet cream whilst Trout fishing in New Zealand
Beardo
in all honesty, if it had been at the end of the night i probably would have, but it was 15 mins after climbing the high seat.

The green bottle is the one to go for. I've used it for years when fishing and also in Cyprus where we go twice a year and little wife and I have never once been bitten. I can't recommend it highly enough.
12borejimbo
Im not being gay boys, but the Avon stuff does work, the past 2 nights ive been out foxing and got bitten to hell and back kept hearing the really high pitched buzz in my ear too, nothing worse when your waiting for a fox!! Put the Avon stuff on tonight after my mum said (dont take the mick) and it worked, not 1 bite, and I shot a cub with my HMR at 200 yeards!!! so happy days. Got bitten to pieces. What do you guys use to keep them at bay? My brother spent time working out in morocco and got bit to bits until a local woman/chemist boiled up garlic in vinegar and water and added fairy liquid and sprayed it on him he showed me last year fishing at loch ken scotland worked a treat but the smell is $%^£&*( disgusting, it also works on the cabbages and caulis at the allotment as well. Beardo
just came across this... The unexpected success of Skin So Soft in the fight against midges has resulted in Avon producing a version of the product with added insect repellent. You can now buy the Skin So Soft Bug Guard PLUS line of products which include the insect repellent IR 3535
