paul hart
Hi lads thinking of getting a new truck fancy merc ML or nissan whats your thoughts.
Marc M
According to What Car and Top Gear then brand new shape Merc ML is every bit as good as the old one was bad. They rate the new shape Discovery as best in class, although say it is VERY thirsty across all the engine range. We have a jap imported Toyota Landcruiser Prado which does everything I need it too, it will literally go anywhere, on or off road. I really like the little Nissan X-Trail for some reason, and good deals can be had on this car. Suppose it depends whether you're looking at buying brand new, or used, and would you use it off road, or just for posing???

Marc M
The Range Rover Sport looks stunning, but at only 8miles per gallon, you'd need to be SERIOUSLY loaded, or seriously stupid, to run one!!
Axe
Paul get the Supercharged Sport. They're not that badly priced either, I'd consider one myself but i'd want diesel. Edited January 12, 2006 by Axe

tenbears10
Paul you wouldn't want to take the Merc offroad would you? Those range rovers are stupid money to run but they do look the mutts. Though you would cry if you smacked either of them into a tree. Highlander
Hi lads thinking of getting a new truck fancy merc ML or nissan whats your thoughts. Paul One word DEFENDER pavman DEFENDER smender they might be the dogs dangleys off road but if you've ever had to follow that man down the road at a top speed of 40mph forget it. Bloody noisey too. I have a ML diesel, they're way too good for messing about in but I do anyway, what's the point of an atv if you don't give it a good bashin'! Put 16" wheels on with some amazing off road tyres this winter and by god does she handle off road. Down to the axles the other day and she still came out. Mind you my heart nearly didn't MPG not too bad either for a BIG vehicle and the load space with the back seats down is almost transit like. And on road, goes like the proverbial **** off the shovel; as my licence can (sadly) prove
AdamW
Guy's I've had a couple of M classes (wife work at HQ so got lease cars cheap!) Nice cars although I did get one stuck.. I now have a Shogun sport warrior and for the money (20k new) its a good bit of kit, not the fastest thing on 4 wheels but then is not meant to be, I do like the look of the RR sport and as has been said it looks the dog boolacks Adam
AmateX
Get a Disco 3, just got a 05 tdv6 hse auto for 35800 odd with 1500miles on the clock, cant beat it. ML's look naff, and don’t come close to a D3.
