Billy.
Was watching a video on YouTube where a kid made a pen gun firing .22LRs. I was annoyed, as it was clearly in the UK and the lad outright says he couldn't care less if what he's doing is illegal. Anyway, I had a read of the recent comments and this absolute gem came up, which was posted 3 days ago. (It's 'lexacor' if you are unable to tell what I'm on about) I pray this person doesn't own a BB gun, let alone a .22LR!
Traztaz
why no link?
Billy.
why no link? I don't think a guy making illegal pen guns deserves publicity on this forum. If you want to find it, type 'pen gun' into YouTube.
guest1957
Someone is stupid enough to make an illegal weapon and then post themselves using it on youtube. The comments below it just go to highlight general ignorance of people who are impressed by the content of the video and wont find themselves doing any real shooting any time soon. Well that makes no sense, you might as well put the link up after telling anyone who see's this forum what to search for. And why get wound up about it? An anonymous internet user tells another anonymous user some rubbish, might as well been pub talk. "Can't come to bed Darlin, someone on the internet is wrong!" Slow night? Newsportshooter
Maybe you should post the link to the first crimestoppers email address you can find

Along with this, the person's website says he's in the UK - just to back up my facts that it's uk based.

Billy.
as with the night site video's hopefully the video has been reported removed and all details passed to the Police via the proper channels. This is what's on his site (which was taken down, so it's forwarded onto another site) At 2.15 pm on 5/20/09 the author of the Expedient Homemade Firearms books, Philip A.Luty was arrested at gunpoint by the British "North East Counter Terrorism Unit" (NECTU). Philip is the well known author of Expedient Homemade Firearms—The 9mm machine gun
Cannon
'No laws were broken in the making of this video'. Fair enough, it's not illegal to make a video, but the content of the video shows the firing of an illegal weapon. Go figure lol

Yeah, the poster about the .22 is wrong, i know that and i don't shoot rifles and i'm damn sure everyone else on here know's it too. And you've advertised on a shooting forum (AKA a wider audience) wrong doing. Report it via YouTube and job done, why go for the Halo badge on here, we could be here all ******* night with plebs on Youtube.

I was actually just originally going on about the comment on the video. Not the video itself. If you think I'm posting this on here to be some sort of hero or whatever, you're wrong. I just thought it'd be a humorous topic for people to see what some people have to say on UK gun laws. The reason I said to turn up the speakers is because people are quick to say that something isn't right, so I was nipping that one in the bud. Edited November 4, 2010 by Billy. the running man
I agree billy that its a good highlighter of shooting ignorance, edit ure orig with I've reported this too the police and you tube. That way any antis will see that we lawful shooters do join together sometimes in unison on matters wich make us look bad. ignorance of shooting is in part to blame on the media, ide like to see mike ***********s video from the nra's home page played on a few channels, videos as posted on u tube like the aforementioned does nothing positive for us. MC
Yeah i did. Fair enough if that wasn't the point. Blimey you back down easily, are you sure you don't live in Suffolk. Gary, If you want one you can buy the mechanism legally from any marine chandlers, they sell pen flares that windsurfers can carry. They are the same although a lot more refined. All the then need is a barrel which screws in. Obviously I cannot help you with that and don't really know how I came by this information

At the time of though Billy had gone into Hero mode again, if he wasn't in that mode to start with then fair enough, not much to argue about/back down from really. Smart *****. njc110381
It's a good job I didn't have the internet when I was in my teens! I made some pretty interesting stuff but this topic had me started on an internet search for all things interesting. A complete set of drawings to build yourself an Uzi was the best I found for the more skilled and tooled up types. I recon I've got the kit to do it in my garage. Even for the complete simpleton there are single shot items out there that can be made from basic parts bought from B&Q. I had a basic cannon idea when I was a kid which used .22 blanks as primers and reels of caps for propellant. Worryingly that thing smashed up pieces of 6x2 timber just as well as my .22 Hornet! Kids do silly things. I guess some are dafter than others? Only my very best mate knew of my cannon as showing off could have caused no end of grief. In fact I found its rusted up remains in the attic when I moved. I assume caps are made from small charges of black powder because they're corrosive as hell!
