hi guys

probobly been covered here already but cant find it for the life of me.

looking for answers regards the legalities of shooting roosting pigeon after dark that are clearly a pest (health hazard) fouling property etc on private land and with permission granted.

Been asked to clear some with air rifle during evenings.

cheers,

The normal time to shoot them is at the point of dusk. The idea being that you may kill a couple but you drive the rest off just as its getting too dark for them to return . Pigeons, being creatures of habit, once they find somewhere else to roost will hopefully stay there. I don't know if it works in reality but thats the theory.

You're wasting your time, as others will soon replace those you've shot.

Cut the trees down, that's the only way to sort it.

Doh....I think you need to be on the "Dreamers" forum, if you seriously think zapping the odd one with an airgun will stop 'em from roosting in their favourite trees.
