garyb
Caught up with this critter last night while out lamping with Stealth Stalker.... He remarked that it looked a bit funny in the lamp :yp: A 70grn HP @ 120 yards finally put it out of it's misery.... We believe it's a 3 inch vent / flue pipe that you would find on the end of a tumble dryer hose? Doubt I'll ever see one like that again! It was one of 5 shot last night - the bag also included a "bob" tailed fox, who had been docked by something! (sadly no pic)
al4x
blimey poor ******, could the bobtailed one have been docked by someone rather than something round there

Stealth Stalker
Thats a first for me  You gave me a fright when you picked that up & said I've shot someones dog, the collar was cutting into her neck, we done her a favour, Sleep well? I've just got up SS
al4x
It looks like underground ducting for electrical services, possibly a bit left in the ground that contained something tasty for the fox like mice etc Just shows what happens to wildlife when you leave rubbish about. last years beaters day was soured a bit by finding a big fallow buck tangled by the antlers in a load of bailertwine that had been dumped in bushes. How long he had been there we don't know but certainly too long to release him

triscrx
Looks very sore where it has been restricting his growth. Poor ******. LEast he is out of any pain now. I would imagine that has been restricting its windpipe and been quite uncomfortable.

al4x
also looking at it its 100mm or so and probably smaller than its skull is now and it won't expand that first ring so it may have had it on since it was a cub
