Pykie
On the corn drillings today, first crow decoying of the year. I dont usually start this early but farmer was having problems and so went to see what I could do. Set up by half 9 and the action was steady and very fun. Coming from three different flightlines and decoying well, I had several down with single shots. Had my first two for one on pigeons, two crossing thirty yards left to right both dropped to one shot which made my day. I also had several coming low and slow over my shoulder into the decoys, enabling me to "smoke" the corvids at very close range. Stopped about 3pm when it went quiet for a bag of 84 corvids (mainly carrion crows) and 14 pigeons. All shot with Beretta ES100 and Prima 7.5 cartridges. I hope I have several more days like today this year (please note: not all birds in photo, lost some in thick hedgerow)

Pykie
must have been one hell of a hedge to loose 12 crows and 5 pigeons well they fell in the hedge and the field behind. I picked them up on the way back to the truck but wasnt going to run around the the field behind then back again just to put them in the photo. Dont like seeing good pigeons going to waste so dont worry, I didnt just leave them Edited March 26, 2011 by Pykie

turk101
Great shootin m8, Just my opinion but even if u was doing it for sport it's still CROP PROTECTION and the farmer would be well chuffed. As I said just my opinion, just think too much is made of all the PC in this country. Turk101
