Divorce!

Thankfully this does not involve me.

I was playing golf with a mate yesterday who is currently looking divorce in the face.

Him and the mrs have been stupid with their cash and have £24,000 of credit card debt.

Anyway the credit cards are ALL in his name. As far as he is concerned it is his debt and he will be left with it when they divorce. My understanding was it will be split between the two of them.

Anyone know the answer? Im sure his divorce lawyer will tell him for a few hundred quid mind!

Is this another hypothetical question like your Rottie thread?

I find it hard to imagine a divorce where the assets consisted only of £24k debt. Is that the total sum of their "assets"?

fortune82 - the boy who cried "Wolf". You and your "friends" lead exciting lives, where quite a lot happens.

Sorry - I'm 1001% sure this thread is genuine.

Shame on you! Of course this is genuine and not another experimental psychological survey on PW members. And, before you even think about it, this is about fortune's friend, certainly not his own situation

No in most marriages there are house , cars, guns, horses pensions all sorts of things and it ends up as a balance sheet. The only thing is the man almost never ever comes out on top. If there are kids involved might as well buy yourself a batman siut now and start checking out access to gantrys on the motorway because before too long you will be up there with "Fathers for justice"
