short lived affair with the semi auto

Over the last couple of weeks I've been lucky enough to have a go with a couple of guns owned by people ive been shooting with. One was a Miroku grade 5 trap gun MK60 i think (but don't hold me to that) and a grade one sporter, I think that was an MK 70. Just holding the guns felt right, and I managed to bust clays with them too. I got back from shooting a round of skeet and 2 rounds of English sporting (getting my best score to date then beating that the second time out) at Cockett farm yesterday and just stuffed my gun in the safe, I WANT AN MK38 SPORTER AND I WANT IT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!

Starting to feel guilty about not cleaning the 3 week old A612 sat in my safe. I'm going to have to do it tonight.

Why dont you find a tidy MK38 Sporter, and then part exchange or sell the A612. But this is only if funds allow :good: :good: :good:

Miroku's are really nice guns and are nice to shoot with. My dad has a Miroku 7000 Grade 1 Sporter, and it's lovey but it's just not me    , Lovely gun though ;) ;) ;) but then again, semi-auto's are great for rough shooting

I'll be keeping the semi, I bought it brand new with a 3 year waranty and I do like it and my score are getting better every time out. I'm jusr really hankering after a MK38, going to try and find a grade 3 or 5 second hand. I just need my bike to sell so I can afford one.

my bike http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201108380640928/sort/priceasc/usedbikes/cc-from/900cc/make/suzuki/quicksearch/true/page/1/radius/10/postcode/s803gb?logcode=p

Some one buy it please, willing to take offers.

Yes the Miruko's are very good gun's had a MK 60 myself, only thing wrong with them is they come in a recycleable box (ie cardboard) and if you want a ABS case its a extra cost.

If you can't find want you want in Miruko's worth looking at a Browning as they are virtually the same guns.

Be sure of the gun fit though before you part with any money.

I bought a brand new MK38 sporter. Wasn't long before I traded it in for a Beretta.

Alan

Not been long since I have done the same, While the Browning's and Miruko's are very good guns. The fit of the Beretta's for me is so much better, what fits one person may not fit another.

Plenty second hand and very good guns, similar to the browning but not the same I have shot berretta's nice guns but own a browning, I would buy a miroku if funds allowed and a cynergy black ice. Keep eyes peeled at local clubs and I am sure you will find a lovely one

I have tried them all over the last few months. I would of been happy with any of them. When asked all who were selling realy could not make a call, all down to what fits you best and what you feel comfortable with. I still shoot better with an old sxs 25" that was fitted to me!

I bought my MK38 Teague Sporter 2 yrs ago, it's never missed a beat.

Fit's really well out of the box and my scores are better than I'd have hoped for.

I sold a Beretta SP to but my Miroku, much better gun for me :good:

Good Luck

Hi,

It is not possible to beat the MK38 for VFM, end of story :good:

I bought the GD3 32" sporter in September 2009 and the GD3 32" Trap version just after last Christmas - I wouldn't get rid for anything else :D

Berettas are alright of you're a short ar*e and I'm not :P

Hi Scott, if i were you i would keep that gun of yours, you managed to hit some cracking shots with it at cocketts farm on Friday, all you need is a bit more practise, you have only had it a short while, give it time, get used to it, it won,t be worth any less in a few months time.

That lad who was shooting in the 1st squad that had never shot before was using his mates Miroku and he was pulling off some pretty impressive shots for a newbie, that was the one you had a go with, that was a tidy piece of kit, from what i saw you shot just as well with that semi auto of yours, like you said you have not been shooting that long.

I went out with my 2 (Baikal & arramberri s x s) on saturday and had another 2 rounds of compact at euroguns and did slightly better than the 1st time i used them with you on Friday.

I am taking them out pigeon shooting tomorrow, and hopefully will do even better with them

Hope to see you again

Andy

Hi Andy,

I was in Doncaster yesterday and saw that the signs for Jn3 so called in and had a wander around. As you said it's a nice walk thro the woods but there was only one guy shooting on the sporting when I was there so I only got to see the targets on the last 2 stands. I'll probably call over the next time the're open and have a go as the distance from mine is practically the same as it is to Cockett Farm.

How did you get on with the pigeons today?

Sco77w, you always know your Armasn 612 would have a home with me if you ever chose to get shot of it.

Schmoo.

I Don't think I'll be selling it.

I've been out today and shot with two great guys and again shot someone else's gun. had a go with a Browning ultra XS and really think I need an over and under. The mid bead really helps me with pointing the gun but I still like my A612. It gets lots of interest in the club house when it's in the rack.

When I've sorted the basics with a decent O/U I'll bring out the cheapy Turkish auto and smash everything that gets put up. :shoot:

That sounds like a great endorsement for the Armsan 612, I am getting one delivered to my local RFD in June, so I can have a good look at it.

Its £390 in black and £425 in the walnet ( basic walnut ).

Plus if your liking it, it can't be a pile of junk. Looks great and from the reviews I have read and from what others have wrote, it is in a different league to the Turkish made Hatsan (BETTER league that is)

Did you manage to put any 21g thru it Sco77w ?

Schmoo.
