Asa Bear
Hi I am new to pigeon shooting and was wondering if these suits are any good for camouflaging in the hide. Cost is an issue as I have just bought my first gun. These suits are advertised for sale very cheaply on fleabay. Any advice greatfully received. Beardo
they're bloody hot - you'll melt. just get some old army surplus dpm clothing
Catamong
They're also impregnated with Carbon dust, which rubs off on anything you're wearing underneath, avoid 'em. Cat.
huffhuff
You'll also come out looking like a coal miner due to the carbon they have in them!
CZ550Kevlar
Don`t touch them, i know from experience that not only will you look like a coal miner as said above you will sweat to death. you will be better off checking out the for sale section as cammo gear comes up quite often. Wookie
You'll also look like a total chopper in one. They are not flattering. Seriously, just go and get some decent surplus DPM from a shop. It's not that expensive and it will be better than a noddy suit.
Nial
they're bloody hot - you'll melt. just get some old army surplus dpm clothing That's not my experience. They probably don't breathe but they're only thick cotton so if you're sitting about for any length of time they don't provide any warmth at all. As I've proved several times with Henry_d in Perthshire [insert absolutely bloody freezing smiley] Nial
Beardo
ah yes, i'm familiar with experiencing the cold with Mr D. what i meant is they're horrendous in the heat - and no doubt useless in the cold. best avoid anyway.
mudpatten
Useful though if the pigeons are using nerve gas.
Billy.
They're also impregnated with Carbon dust, which rubs off on anything you're wearing underneath, avoid 'em. Cat. You'll also come out looking like a coal miner due to the carbon they have in them! Never a truer word spoken. I have loads in the loft. Put a jacket on once and I looked like a coal miner. They're cheap for a reason and put it this way, if you're about to die from a Nuclear, Biological or Chemical (NBC) attack you're not going to be fussed about a bit of charcoal on your clothes Edited May 11, 2011 by Billy. Billy.
is that why you have them Billy? to go with the tinfoil hats? No, no. I wear them with whilst watching extreme gay porn. ... I actually used to work at an Army surplus store when I was 16, so it was just a load of stock they didn't want. Edited May 11, 2011 by Billy. CZ550Kevlar
Does anyone else find also that mobility is severely decreased too and any type of movement of the arms etc seems impossible and laboured.

chrispti
Cut the innards out. Get one a couple of sizes too big, and use it as an over suit. You can wear shorts under them in the summer and what ever you want in the winter Its good enough to get you started
Guest kenny
As above if you cut the lining out and get a bigger one should be ok BUT …….I would not touch them with yours OR recommend them!!!

mudpatten
Ah! I see that the instructions that came with them did not make it plain that one should in fact TAKE THEM OFF before dumping.
