ollie
Hi guys. Just thought I would post up a picture of my new Howa 1500 .223 with sporting stainless barrel. The stock that is on at the minute is only temporary as I am waiting on my ambidextrous thumbhole stock, which should be ready in a couple of weeks. I think I will probably put a Mod on it, any suggestions are welcome.

reggiegun
Hi Mate, Looks good, What does it group like? Is that a box of American eagles you have been using? Reggiegun
f.a.c.sam
Welcome to the club buddy . Got exactly the same gun, I have a wildcat predator 8 on mine is a bit unweildy but they now do a shorter compact version so might be worth a look, fully strippable and does a good job of silencing the round. I also used american eagles in mine and at £8 a box it maybe even cheaper than loading your own. Took a fox with it at the weekend with them and did the business on it so just goes to show you don't need a fancy gun and home loaded ammo with 0.5 MOA groups to get the job done. Might be also worth having the trigger played with, it's not the greatest out of the box. Keep us updated with how you get on with it. f.a.c.sam
Last time I checked there were 20. Ridiculously cheap I thought about questioning him about it but I bought 100 and kept my gob shut.
ollie
Hi Mate, Looks good, What does it group like? Is that a box of American eagles you have been using? Reggiegun To be honest with you the barrel has hardly been broke in yet, but it is shooting quite well. I got a couple of boxes of american eagle and remington just to break the barrel in and then I will be reloading. Have the reloading kit and all. Welcome to the club buddy . al4x
I think they are @£215 they also do a shorter version or there is a bloke on the SD who has A tecs I think it is at a really good price that are a lot lighter
Kes
Al4x - I have a T8 and its a bit too heavy, especially on a varmint barrel, do you have a link to a site where the new shorter and lighter one is sold, reasonably priced? Thx Kes

tignme
Just fitted a new mod on monday to my browning X bolt (new gun) Ive had two reflex 8s and cant fault them(except weight).the xbolt i had chopped by 4" to reduce weight and fitted an A.tec over the barrel design.its very light in comparsion and is strippable for cleaning. ive only fired a few shots to use up an old homeload and the results were very good.Im deaf in one year and used ear muffs and reckoned the noiose was the eqivelent of the rimmie without the mod.mod is stamped A.tec Export.WWW.a-tec.no. I think its an old model reduced from £280.00 to £230.00. Good luck Ollie. Wish you health to enjoy it.
