MC
The one what you hit more birds with  I would put a quarter in and think about fishing. That way you will stop worrying about whether the choke was the reason you missed. Most of all have FUN Cheers Martin
Lord Geordie
20 meters i would go 1/4 or 1/2 Generally mine is 1/2 and 3/4 for most shooting LG

Catamong
20 meters i would go 1/4 or 1/2 Generally mine is 1/2 and 3/4 for most shooting LG At 20 meters most Pigeons would be mashed if hit in the centre of a 1/2 choke pattern. At those ranges skeet or cylinder would be more than enough, perhaps 1/4 in the second barrel. Cat. Whitebridges
That's 65 feet 7inches and 4/10th Fancy mixing metric and imperial, shame on you Mr Whitebridges Cheers Martin I don't do metric, period. Roads are measured in miles and speed in miles and hour. Fish are weighed in pounds and any rod you buy in the UK with be Feet and Inches. A twelve bore is a twelve bore because it is an imperial measure. Horses race over furlongs My father farms acres I go to the pub and buy whisky in gills ( beer in pints). Metric is **** and should be outlawed in the UK IMHO

flytie
Two Barrels, go to your local print works and buy a part reel of paper, mine is 2m wide, take it, a pallet, some drawing pins, your gun and a variety of the cartridges you use and pattern your gun. Lean the pallet against a hedge or safe backdrop, put the reel of paper BEHIND the pallet, pull the paper over the pallet and secure with the drawing pins. If like me you leave the reel of paper in front of the pallet and test open chokes at long range you too will pepper the reel with shot thus making a mess of your next test shot :*) You will, I am sure, find that your choice of cartridge will be far more important than the choke you use, as long as it is not too severly choked. Standard game boring has always been improved cylinder and quarter choke for a very good reason, it fills the game bag! Regards, flytie. the hitman
Its 1/4 & 3/4 for me ,and thats for everything i shoot. I generally pace out about 25 yds to the front of my decoy pattern, and 40yrds to the back.some people might say my chokes are to tight, but im happy with them. the hitman
Rottweil no7 32gm super trap probably the best cartridge I have ever used. When using a heavy load and tight chokes, best put your decoys out at least 25 yds. cheers the hitman
invector
I use 1/4 and 3/4 chokes and forget about 'em, and use Eley HB Pigeon, 32gr, 6.5 shot, all the time.

Shame about the shilling going but at least we still have to buy horses in Guineas. At least we don't have to suffer that Euro Sh*te. They're worth even less that the US Dollar.
