We all know that members of the anti-brigade are web surfers and do occasionally post on these here forums but I was just wondering if you think that people from the government are also monitoring us?

Aside from the fact that we are doing nothing wrong by having a healthy gun/shooting interest.

Any big-brother believers out there? Opinions?

ps. hope this poll works, havent quite got the hang of it on this new forum software. :good:

--------

My opinion is that they would be wasting their time. Not a believer in big brother, dont believe the survailance state is all powerful yet but I guess its a possibility for the future. I could be wrong.

What I meant by the question "Are we being watched?" I dont just mean this forum but the shooting community in general.

Paranoia strikes again :good:

I think they will pretty much have their hands tied up with finding those 1000 immigrant prisoners that were released and stopping global terrorism - stemming the flow of Child pornography - watching the foreign crooks hijacking accounts etc than paying attention to a group of lads on a Pigeon shooting forum :good:

And besides it's NICER out here than it was in that cell :good:

The good old Big Brother/Paranoia question............... again. :good:

It reminds me when a good friend of mine. who is a fan of conspiracy theories, read on one of the Forums on that subject, that if you mentioned Prince Charles enough times from the same PC, you would get a knock on the door late at night.

He sent loads of linked emails to everyone, mentioning Prince Charles at least 10 times in the emails, but nobody knocked on his door. :good:

When we all laughed at him, he said that perhaps they were keeping him under surveillance.

There is no way to win with anyone who is really paranoid. :good:

Interesting. 14 people voted no and 14 voted yes so looks like we're split over this question! :good:

I suppose the government could use spiders to trawl the internet for certain words like 'guns' 'bombs' 'pigeon shooting' etc then do abit of survailance on what they come upwith. The internet is uncontrollable by its very nature so to say that they can police it is a complete nonsence. If they really could then they would be able to arrest every person thats downloaded a file without the copywrite holder's permission for example. :good:

Kinda went on a tangent but what I think is they cant put everything on the internet under survailance I dont think.

I think all the Government Moles and Spies voted "No", just to throw us off the scent.

Be cautious out there. :good:

I heard that most of us appear on security camera footage three times a day.

Petrol Stations, Shops, Motorways etc etc.

Actually the AVERAGE person in the UK is caught on CCTV on average 200 times a day not 3 :good:

Scarey really when you think about it. One night your caught short and park on a road side dart behind a bush for a splash and your caught on candid camera :good:

Banks

Building society

Petrol station forecourts

Motorway gantries

ANY shop you go into

drawing money from a cash machine

shopping in tesco etc

you ALL being watched but it's STILL paranoia as they are only looking for CRIMINALS and as long as there are criminals they will target those not you and me

Oh unless we drive a car at 1mph over the limit :good:

I always wonder where these statistics come from. :good:

Where I live and the area I spend most of my time in, is devoid of CCTV cameras.

If the "AVERAGE" is 200 times a person, then some poor person is getting a heavy dose of my share. :good:
