turbo33
Had an invite from Bluebarrels to join him for a bit of a go at the crows. The maize was taken off earlier in the week so we had hopes of a reasonable morning. We met at BB's farm at 6.15, and chatted till it was light enough to set up. We had our hides about 70yds apart. BB was using his home made crow deeks/socks, I set up with 6 freshly painted full bodied and a handful of pigeon shells off to one side. The action was immediate with crows trying to come into BB's pattern as he was setting it up! It was fairly steady throughout the morning, with just the odd lull here and there which was a good excuse to straighten up and yak Around 10.30 the crows started to ignore the decoys. A quick trot to the car for a couple of flappers, one in each pattern put us back in business. Finished at around 1pm with 46 crows and a couple of pigeons. It was a cracking mornings sport in good company Thanks BB
