What is acceptable for ladies to wear, on a driven day?

I have a ladies 'Derby Tweed' jacket, would this be acceptable with a brown polo neck lightweight shirt? What about the bottom half :look: . I have some brown skinny jeans, which I think look quite smart when I wear them with my leather dubarry boots, would this be ok?

Also, what attire is 'acceptable' for picking up duties? Have been offered to go and help with picking up, and the same shoot is selling a days gun for £150, which I'm considering.

Will I be laughed off the field with my cheap and cheerful Bettinsoli?

Arrghh! So many queries!!!

guns should look better than the beaters

Im sure you will be fine :good: but if your still in doubt post some pics and we can judge for ourselves   I always think the tweedy skirts go well with Dubarry boots ( like the girls wear at the game fairs) :good: :good: :good:

Better to shoot well with a Bettonsoli, than poorly with a Purdey

My mind did go into overdrive.

A short green pleated plaid skirt is the very best thing for a lady to wear, with a green crop top and those big fluffy leg warmers. Wearing that kit would guarantee you

1,Get to walk up in front of everyone else and get the priilege of bending over picking up frequently.

2,Get you the best picker upper award of the day which also automaticaly gets you an invite for the next shoot.

A beret would be considered acceptable headgear, scarf optional. B)

Brilliant! The first picture is the ideal, but no protection against thistles or brambles, and a cold wet inquisitive Labrador nose.Clarissa on the other hand, looks as if it's been a long time since she had anything inquisitive up her skirt!

Met her once;she's more of a man than I'll ever be.

you lot are terrible

the main things are that you are comfy warm and able to shoot without restriction

Spot on leeds chimp so long as its some thing warm & able to move freely in no use a girl trying to get over a fence if she is in tight jeans ! especially if they have just got a soaking from the rain .

Some thing like the skin of that rabbit you are holding would keep a lady warm on shoot day
