P~MX
I put a 1/4 bag of mouse/rat poison into a dried out coke can and set a half a dozen of them around the back of the house and in the shed were they can't be seen, that seems to keep them away from doin any damage in the shed or comin into the house
monster1971
try having a son who thinks its clever to leave open fishing bait in your shed and see how many you get then never had a problem till then

Elmer Fudd.
I've had 3 in 3 days in the trap in my garage. God knows how they get in. There's less than a quarter of an inch gap at the bottom of the door and they arn't babbies either. Edited November 9, 2011 by Elmer Fudd. four-wheel-drive
I have a 4 legged, black shiny coated mouse assassin who deals with them for me - all for the price of a tin of whiskas a day. We never had any problem with mice until we had a cat the bloody thing would catch mice and bring them in the house and let them go so much for bloody cats the dogs would just kill them so no problem there. They certainly seem to like "Matchman" scopex flavoured squidgy carp baits.

humperdingle
I keep traps baited in my mum's garage all year... Haven't had any catches for months, but have had 8 in the last week! Cadbury's Caramel works a treat
Dr W
I don't bother with the ones in the gararge (well until they find the stores of bird seed then I'm in trouble) only set traps in the kitchen and use peanut butter, 2 so far.
