tweedledee
guys i have been an avid winchester fan for years. they are increasingly hard to find in good shape. i found this today on a local dealers,i traded in a winchester select sporting which i recently bought. the 6500 may be a golden oldie with a lot of work under it`s belt but it`s ten times the gun the later winchesters are.it`s a 30 inch sporter and i reckon it`s in pretty good nick for it`s age. chapperz1991
looks a lovely gun! how old do you reckon?
tweedledee
mid 80`s i`d say. the 6500 were the last of the 101 series. think a.j smith won the world title with one of these in 85 or 86 i think.

Scully
A very nice gun and a good buy.I'm a big Winchester fan myself and currently own four, and have had five 101's over the years, including an unfired sleeper Diamond grade in its own motor case which I bought unseen. When it arrived it had 'orange' wood, which I don't like,so traded it in for another Diamond grade with stunning wood! Currently looking for a 1300XTR and a Grand European. There is a good example on Avalons website, but I'm waiting for one with excellent wood. Your 6500 looks an excellent example, and although prices don't seem to appreciate like some other guns, the 101s don't seem to depreciate either.Nice gun.
