Up here in the NE we've been getting battered since about 4pm - blowing too hard to even go out and check the outbuildings. Got a horrible feeling will be picking up pieces of roof from the field. Last time we had a blow like this the greenhouse we had quite literally exploded and we found whole pains of glass 300 yards away down the field............. and then the back door of the barn blew out and landed on it to finish the job Oh well with it only being weather it always stops in the end doesn't it Keep safe everbody in the North of the UK wherever you are. Sustained wind speed was in excess of 100mph. All quiet now but a howler yesterday, nearby a small wind turbine went out of control and had to be felled before it became airborn.
