BlaserF3
I think educating this chap into the correct behaviour may be more appropriate than calling the police. If he fails to listen then removing him from the club/shoot would be in order. If he fails to listen and gets booted out of the club, what will he do...obviously he will go to another club. He needs his gun removed before somebody is shot.

To be honest, I nearly posted an answer like yours but you would end up on an assault charge, which isn't very good if you want to shoot
MartynGT4
Haven't seen anything like that and hope to god I never do. I'm not sure what's more worrying, the fact he loaded the gun or the fact he clearly didn't think it was dangerous to do so. Dread to think what else he gets up to! :o
Winterwolf
Im new to the game and use a semi ... Even I know that isnt on! Problem with the world these days... Just another dip**** waiting to collect his darwin award. Wouldnt be happy if that happened to me in the slightest!
Rupert
I think this still needs forwarding to the police. He was challenged,he was unwilling to unload his shotgun,if i have read the op correctly.tThis problem will just move from club to club,in fact he could be stood behind me or you next week and with ear protection on we may not beaware of him loading his shotgun. This is very dangerous as we all know and cannot be allowed to continue anywhere. Rupert
You dont give your location or name the club so this could have been where i shoot on a sunday,or any of us for that matter.
krugerandsmith
What kind of shoot was this, a local club, CPSA ground or just a bunch of friends ? Whatever,if I or any of my friends encountered such behaviour the shooter would be more than informed of his actions and would be told, in no in certain terms that this is not acceptable. When I first read this post I wondered if it was a joke or a possible Troll. Bill Bill. I was on a different stand when this dangerous offence took place .... never seen this man before and hope I never see him again. Shooters at this ground are highly responsible people and are proud of this fact ....Semi auto users including myself carry their guns either in a slip or barrel up action open facing forward for others to see and know they are safe. fenboy
You should have told him to unload his gun instantly and if he did not comply, I quite honestly would call the Police. He needs his ticket taking away pronto. I assume you told the organisers what had happened, what was their reaction? By not doing anything positive you could contribute to someones death, honestly he is not a responsible person, is he? While clearly this guy needs a lesson in gun safety ,I doubt calling the police would do much good ,what would you be reporting ? a man at a shooting ground with a loaded gun ! unfortunately gross stupidity is not normally illegal, what this guy needed was educating ,I doubt he had any idea what he was doing was wrong someone should point out the possible outcome ,if he listens to the advice then all is well if not then he should be banned from the ground. Thunderbird
I have seen behaviour that most of you here would consider unsafe from someone with 'CPSA Coach' embroidered on their vest. Rather faded I have to say but it's there. I was watching this guy like a hawk and I know the O/U being carried closed was empty, as I also know the semi he swept a few people with was too, however I was the only person who did and I still flinched when the muzzle swept me. It makes my skin crawl when people are unsafe with guns, I know all guns are dangerous but a 12 bore at close range, ugh. :(

I'm struggling to believe it but then again few things surprise me, I would be gobsmacked at seeing such a thing.

Harnser
Any body not sure as how to behave at a clay shoot safty wise then keep your gun in the slip until its your turn to shoot, take the gun out of the slip in the cage and put the gun straight back into the slip when you have shot your turn .On a driven day your gun will only be taken out of the slip at your peg and returned to the slip after the whistle has blown for the end of the drive . If walking up the hedge rows with dogs and a mate the dog you can trust, make sure you can trust your mate. Harnser . Dekers
Guys, this has been done to death, I think we all agree that this guy is way out of order, but, there is collective and individual responsibility here, WHY didn't anyone question him or ask him to unload, don't say it wasn't your job to do that, the person responsible for your health and safety is YOU!!
