Open Ticket or Closed?

Just got my NEW FAC back this morning and want your help please?

I want to know is my FAC an Open Ticket or is it still closed?

In the Conditions it states in my OLD licence that i can shoot over "land deemed suitable by the Chief Officer of Police for the area where the land is situated and over which the holder has lawful authority to shoot".

In my NEW licence it states that i can shoot "on land which the holder has lawful authority to shoot",no mention of the Chief Officer of Police bit.

Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thankyou.

Sounds like the restriction has been lifted to me. You can always ring the FEO to clarify, but looks 'open'.

As others have said, if there is no mention of this in the conditions..........

........."land deemed suitable by the Chief Officer of Police for the area etc, etc, then you don't have that restriction, and it is "Open", either that or a misprint!

ATB!

why do people ask here, rather than doing the correct thing and prob would have taken less time, to ring their FAO and ask, it's as though they are scared of them or something,

Your right but nice to ask your mates on PW. Also other members reading thread could find out to. :good:

Stubby,i asked on here because other people like myself could be in the same situation one day!Put it this way i got a quicker answer on here than what i would have got off the Firearms Dept.!

This is what a Forum is all about!

Definitely OPEN ticket mate so get out there, enjoy your new found "freedom" and fill your boots!

Co-incidentally I have just got mine back this morning with another rifle (.22WMR conditioned for FOX) and a Section 1 shotgun added to it and the couple of "restrictive" conditions lifted so like you I now have a Full Open FAC for all calibres with no restrictions on land having to be passed by the FEO!

Why is it the correct thing to do? You have a forum of people here who can help you and it shares the knowledge with others who are reading the topic.

I'm sure the FEO has better things to do than explain the wording on a licence and would probably appreciate not having to explain it for the millionth time.
