anser2
I have been suppling pigeons to the same guy for several years and have been getting 25p a bird for the last 3 years. However given the scarcity of pigeons in my area I am surprised the price is remaining the same. So i was wondering what others on here are getting for fresh birds in feather at their butchers. Hamster
Most butchers I know don't want them at all, certainly not in the feather in any case. You are right though they don't seem to ever go up in price.
Sprackles
Local butcher here selling them at £1.25 a bird oven ready. They all look good, minimal shot damage. He's not interested in fresh shot birds though as he says he only sells a few each week.

Please correct me if I'm wrong though.
CZ550Kevlar
i get 20p a bird, but since i changed my choke to full and cartridges to 32g 5`s size they look like they were hit by flak over Germany so don`t bother with selling them now. tomhw100
Get 25p fresh,15p frozen....I thought you couldn't sell them oven ready with out a food hygiene certificate either! Our game dealer won't take rabbits that are drawn he wants them ungutted....and all we get for rabbits is a measly 35p! Although I think he gives a fiver a hare though! sitsinhedges
Shameful prices for pigeons on this thread, not surprising people just chuck them in the hedge.
CZ550Kevlar
Shameful prices for pigeons on this thread, not surprising people just chuck them in the hedge. exactly, then by the time you add fuel prices into the equation it makes it even worse. TaxiDriver
Pretty sure my local 'proper butcher' quoted me a £1 for headshot rabbits, paunched and 60p for pigeons, Since then I haven't shot any of either.
