Shropshire_Lad
Love the look of Brownings but the Beretta seems like putting on a comfy pair of boots. For me the Browning was just not right but we are all different. atvb Paul.
Chard
Hiya im looking into getting a new gun for sporting clays what would you go for out of a Browning Cynergy or a Beretta Gold E. cheers Good grief, no comparison, get the Beretta. I've shot a couple of Cynergies, horrible cheap tat, especially the black plastic things. (but grossly overpriced) Edited March 17, 2012 by Chard
paulos
Hiya im looking into getting a new gun for sporting clays what would you go for out of a Browning Cynergy or a Beretta Gold E. cheers The Cynergy has a totally different feel to the 682 so it's hard to compare them. I know a few people that have Cynergys, and get on well with them, but they're not for me. Have you looked at the Browning XS?
timps
Have you looked at the Browning XS? I wouldn't get one of those, you have to cut bits off them

Penfolio
As has been said above, choose the one that fits you. I picked up a Cynergy, didn't even need to fire a shot, it just didn't feel right when I shouldered it. The 686 is a lovely gun and, when I was in the market for an O/U last year, I almost bought one... before veering off at the last minute after a Guerini stole my affections. Check them both out see which feels right to use and hold.

Jega
An old boy once told me that when gun shops remove all the price tags and cover over the manufacturers names people will start to get guns that fit THEM ! instead of their ego's and pockets. Wise words from decades of experience. Edited March 17, 2012 by Jega

Gordon R
I have owned a fair number of Browning / Mirokus - nothing less than excellent. Owned 3 Beretta trap models - again - excellent. There is nothing wrong with any of them. It's whatever suits you personally. I owned a Blaser F3 - fine gun, but it did not suit me. I fancied a Gamba Daytona, but bought a Salvinelli Monaco instead. My youngest quickly laid claim to it, so I am back with my Beretta 682E gold 32" trap model. It fits and is a better gun than I am a shooter.
