canthitathing
Eva CassidyJeff Buckley Robert Plant Really hits the spot Always worth watching Later with Jools Holland, he won't stand for any numpties and the most surprising people turn out to have great voices, I remember scoffing when he had Busted on but those boys really can play, and sing, live. For the list - Matt Monro, Sam Brown, Ruby Turner and another vote for Tom Jones, amazing power and clarity and still cool after all these years. Effortless One of the best has recently died..... Whitney Houston but i place here third behind two of the greatest female voices, Barbara Streisand and Celine Dion. Ian. Pitch perfect and a hell of a range

Hamster
It's not often you can rave about someone your dad introduced you to , so for sheer class Sir Tom Jones is impossible to fault, as is Sinatra. It's not often they can write and sing so Sir Elton John and Barry Manilow are exceptions. For more contemporary genius Darren Hayes from Savage garden has a stunning voice:

Hamster
Didn't mean to forget the girls, Celine Dione, Whitney, Christina Aguilera and the easily dislikable Mariah Carey sadly has a good voice too.
DSPUK
Joan Armatrading in her younger day's - saw her at Wolverhampton in late 70's - best live concert been to. Got all Eva Cassidy's CD's but in my opinion you need a good HiFi system to take the harshness out of her voice on some tracks. Frank Snotra can only sing in one key - boring. Dean martin - good old pub singer. Dave
