Revolting Rabbit

Recommended Posts

Shot a large buck rabbit tonight with the S510 and upon retrieving it realised it had a huge lump spanning around its saddle like a fat hosepipe under the skin. It looked like a pregnant doe with the babies under the skin on its back

After I gutted the other rabbits I had shot I decided to have a look at this one. It gutted like normal but on peeling the skin back on its belly flaps I found a huge cyst which burst shooting thick off white liquid with the consistency of custard up my left hand and arm

It was truly revolting and I am wondering what it was, I've hunted rabbits for over 30yrs and never found anything quite like this before.

Any ideas :hmm:

Pheasant feeder i aggree with you. Iv had the same encounter and it certainly sou.ds like tape worm. They use the rabbit as a carrier. Its foxes and dogs the worm i waiting to infect. They do tbis by hoping the rabbit is eaten by said animals. So keep em away from ur dogs if u have any
