Hello everyone,

I have made a faux pas it would seem, and posted on the site before introducing myself. So here I am.

I've never been pigeon shooting before, but I'm desperate to give it a go. I've shot on and off since I was a kid, and got into it through the old man. We'd go rough shooting mainly. In the last few years he's taken me on a few stalks in the West Highlands, and got me my first Stag. I don't think I'll ever top those days, but it's something to aim for. Shot more in the Army, but that doesn't really count. It's not got the same draw as 'sporting' shooting.

At the moment I only have one permission, where I can go for rabbits. Other than that, it's the Clay club as often as possible to keep my eye in. I need to get off my backside and get knocking again!

I've recently bought a Beretta A400 Light, and I'm loving it. Prefer it to my Urika 2. If I can get the land and FAC, next step will be a Ruger 10/22. Little bit at a time!

You guys seem like a helpful bunch, so I'll keep reading the posts and building my knowlege.

Cheers Folks!

John
