djgeoff
today at clay shoot a mate loaded to rounds into his over under went to shoot and it failed to fire, no clicks were heard and he could not break gun, lever on top did nothing, just very loose. removing the fore end did nothing to help him disarm / unload gun. how would he make this gun safe. gun will not fire or open. WelshLamb
What did he do to get the gun home? Or is he still at the clay ground!?
hedd-wyn
Bloody hell, that's a tough one. Never thought that could actually happen!
WelshLamb
I'd have aimed the end of the barrels away from me (somewhere safe) and bashed the butt of the gun on the stand. Might have made it fire :dunno:
Rupert
Hypothetical. Could the gun be persauded to fire by srtiking the butt against floor/wall?
gamekeeper1960
Remove stock that way you can get to the internals and should be able to unlock and remove barrels but make sure that the barrels are kept in a safe area and probable best if theres two of you to do this ! Dave.
utectok
I'm guessing you'd have to remove the stock and ease back the firing pins that are probably stuck in the primer
mossy835
how did he get on with it,did he get it un done.
sitsinhedges
You'd have to drive home with it pointing out the sunroof
ditchman
sounds like the bottom end of the top lever is broke.....take it to a smith...if you try to take it apart all sorts of things could make it go off...you will have to take it to a smith anyway ! Trevorevans
Lol, bet that was the smoothest you've ever driven. Quite scary to think that could happen, hope he gets it sorted with no damage to anything or anyone.
sodylt1
Same thing happened to me a few years ago with what was then a new beretta 682 and it turned out that I had somehow managed to push the barrel selecter switch part way over! Alycidon
Hate to say it but the only way in my book is to sleeve it loaded and take it to a gunsmith. Mate of mine had a rifle round stick in his chamber on the hill, had to bring it back loaded, A
cant hit rabbits 123
I thought that if a gun has a cartridge chambered and it cannot be removed, the police had to collect the gun as you cannot transport it (roads being public places)?
