lampingman
Thats a good pike well done iv fished canals sometimes for pike and if you can get a bait under or as close as you can to a moored barge you can get some good pike there Edited October 12, 2012 by lampingman
.philmypower.
Very nice Leeds chimp. I love my piking still yet to catch a decent one 4lb was my best last year but still enjoyed every min spent out after them. Nice to see them, would never of thought of trying a marina, might be something to consider. Thanks for sharing

Friend of mine hooked into a nice double figure pike in Barton Turf only to have it wrap it's self round an outboard leg and snap the line. leeds chimp
just keep your line away from the boats if possible. Friend of mine hooked into a nice double figure pike in Barton Turf only to have it wrap it's self round an outboard leg and snap the line. when dead baiting I use a float so I can see the smallest movement on the bait...Rather lose than deep hook or risk a snap off...When round boats I leave plenty of room and have the clutch step quite tight for it

vulpicide
I've stopped Pike fishing as you are no longer allowed to livebait in Scotland and I do'nt like fishing under nonsesical restraints.
