I don't have any Klingon though... Also, people keep asking how Scotland will defend itself... Defend itself from who??? Vipa
If Scotlands So Bad, Why IS Cameron Pro Union? National security! Scotland would not be able to afford a substantial military and would be a push over if some one decided to walk in! don't think that just because it's the 21st century this couldn't happen! That means that, for the sake of national security, the remainder of the union would have to fund and supply a defense force to protect Scotland, at great expense. The oil WILL run out at some point or alternatives found making balancing the books for Scotland a challenge to say the least... Once we reach that point, the defense cost burden on England, Wales & NI would be there with no revenue in return... And... as in everything in this world.... united we stand, divided we fall! these sayings aren't just made up because they sound good... they are borne from bitter experience! Vipa
What you don`t seem to understand is, not everyone in Scotland is Scottish. Independence and keep the pound? Not really independent is it? I will vote NO and if it is a yes vote, I`m coming back. If I promise to say a prayer Henry would you consider changing your mind on that? Kes
If I were concerned about such things - I cant be, naturally, because I'm English, but Salmond is a rather poor example of the species and must frighten children? He won't be able to. Wind turbines are heavily subsidised by tax payers money, so like it or not - and I pass no judgement - that means by virtue of simple maths, mostly English money, often payed to foreign firms who cannot believe their luck. Mr Salmond won't be able to afford that. Of course, if he's quick he could bury Scotland under turbines before the vote and get them for nothing, then wriggle out of paying for them afterwards. All he's got to do is out-wit or out-blink Mr Cameron which shouldn't be difficult. Everyone else seems to manage it.

Its also only a matter of time before we get hit by a asteroid but i won't lose any sleep over it. It is what it is at this time. Your crystal ball seems to be working better than mine at the moment. The last think the ROI wants to do is take us on they have enough problems of their own. Edited October 22, 2012 by ordnance
