I have a speeding conviction from 1982, a year after I passed my test - 36 in a 40. I haven't been caught since and stick religiously to 30 and 40 mph limits which are usually there for very good reasons, but like AVB, I occasionally creep over the limit on motorways. I was charged with being late on parade once as a junior soldier in the 1980s. That's about it.

Why not just answer the question?

I am only asking for a simple YES or NO answer...

Yes or No Gordon R?

I already have. You asked have I ever broken the law which I answered quite clearly in the post above yours ???

Just a simple yes or no...not a carry on with tales of when you were a lad...no need to drag this out?

YES I have NO I have not

Avoiding the question...

"Silence gives consent." So runs an ancient maxim of common law, and from that maxim flows a widely applied legal principle: the rule of tacit admission. On the theory that an innocent man would loudly deny a serious charge, the rule holds that a suspect silent in the face of an accusation has tacitly admitted the crime. And such silence can later be introduced at his trial as an indicator of guilt.

Thats Gordon R on board, anymore?

what business is it of yours? you can try and justify your reasoning till the cows come home, it's your topic after all. the other peeps on here are quite right in what they say, you've asked for opinions by simply posting on here, have the good grace/sense to admit defeat, i don't think anyone here sympathizes much anymore.

the funny thing is one of those future ventures is sort of stitched up by ****** and the other well recruitment agents are generally the scum of the earth :whistling: so they definitely have something in common. I'd stick with the 40k a year personally and get a paper round on saturday mornings :whistling:

It really is a simple question to answer. You are just making this difficult

Your ability to Google is clearly greater than your own knowledge.

Are you a shooter, or an "Anti", harvesting data?

I honestly wonder.

As for the Police Force - I fear you are aiming a little high, considering your "abilities".

YES I have NO I have not

No 'tales' the truth. Sorry, even though I have answered your question twice, in detail. I hadn't appreciated the fact you only understand one syllable answers:

YES

There you go. Full details provided in post 253. You will now presumably try to justify your own willingness to defraud the taxman and and consider anything illegal to save a few quid (your own words), by claiming accidental speeding is the same as fraud, rape, genocide. I really can't be ***** with this. Fill your Audi with Red, that is what this thread is all about isn't it? Seeking approval for a deliberate attempt to defraud the Taxman. I would have some sympathy if you drove a twenty year old diesel and were a farm labourer. You earn 40K and drive an Audi A6 and you want to run it on Red? Crack on, no really crack on :good:

Thanks for that...you have been a great help. :good:

Anymore? Come, dont be shy...

Blunderbuss - you have my sympathy. I read your replies, but BRNDL (armed only with his giant intellect) missed them.

BRNDL - when I quoted Rafael Sabatini, I did so from memory. I read the book and watched the commendable film version, featuring the longest swordfight on film - at that time. I also know, from my own knowledge, that Mel Ferrer actually did little of his own swordplay and used a European fencing champion to do the tricky bits.

As for taking you shooting - I honestly don't think I could stand the excitement.
