Albert 888
Keep at it the doors will open. I did a favour for a keeper today and in return got invited on a shoot. All the best Albert
Hopper Bopper
Best of luck to the OP. Do a good job and things should build up for over time. I got nearly 400 acres to control vermin on last year - oh and it was on the back of doing some donkey work for the shoot captain and dare I say Beating!!! Team work, two way street, which ever way you want to put it, put it right for the bloke who signs you permission form. ATB HB

pabs
It seems free, civilized and open discussion is not allowed on this forum, hence the unannounced and arbitrary deletion of our posts. Such is the way of our society these days I fear. I hope some of you got to read and dare I say it, enjoy, the thread. I've no doubt that this post will also be deleted as well, and my subsequent ban. Shame on the Mod' that deleted this open and honest disagreement. I pity this mentality. Good wishes, and good shooting to you all.
Zapp
Calm down Captain Dramatic, and have a quick refresh on the house rules, particularly this bit: It is not permitted for members to steer a thread away from its topic of conversation. If you wish to change the subject matter, start a new topic entirely. The thread was about a chap getting some permission by chance, not about whether or not people should feel gratitude to farmers for letting them shoot. If you want to discuss that, start your own thread.
bruno22rf
Seems a bit pedantic to me-conversation between people should be allowewd to follow its natural course surely-if all the mods were to meet in a pub would they move to another part of the room if the topic of conversation changed? The OP made no complaint that I can see
RED BEARD
it does seem a bit strange deleting the posts, they were all to do with the original subject in a round about way.and non of them got around to being a slanging match. The OP made no complaint that I can see brilliant image in my head now of PigeonWatch mods playing some weird mutation of musical chairs in a pub, occasionally breaking up a table if it got too offensive... Good way to get a bit more free meat! well, not the ferals; not too sure about the cooking potential there...

Paul taylor
Permission wise I've had 21 ferals in two visits 8 last night with my cheapo NV kit the rats pinched my pasty and ran off into the night sneaky *******! Lesson learnt there lol bait nailed down next time me thinks. As chris said above Hope we can continue with banter without spitting dummies out keep it fun guys that's what we are here for;-)
