TaxiDriver
have a look on pw's sister site, Gunwatch.co.uk Something between 10-12ft/lbs if buying new, Budget ranges are Stoeger (theres a s/h X20 on Gunwatch with scope for £130) Gamo, Crossman Gamo do a few around £150-£200 plus a hawke scope say £60-£70 for a 3-9x50
secretagentmole
Way too much, for a good starter rifle try a Hatsan 55 or 60 S (the 55 is .177 and the 60 is .22). Great trigger, anti bear trap and they make 11.3 ft lb with a 14,.3 grain pellet, cost £130 rrp, careful shopping should see you with one for under £100! They are basically a Webley Stingray mark 2, made in the same factory!

NIGHT SEARCHER
Loads of springers or PCP`s on GUNSTAR. or GUN WATCH. or GUNTRADER. Has Kent say`s any HW are just Quality I like the HW 77. 80. 95. 97. The 97 is outstanding. It`s all down to what you won`t to spend. And Springer or PCP. You say cheap but what sort of budget are we looking at. I got a Hatsan 1000 s Striker in .25 cal. It runs at 11.8 ftlb out of the box for a £100 new. A new 3x9x50 scope £30. Silencer £20. So £150 all in. I got it for Rats it hits like a .25 cal hammer. Good luck and happy

HDAV
Second hand HW80 or similar Yep HW springer is the tool for the job forget the Turkish junk
secretagentmole
The German stuff is junk these days, what comes out of the German factory is appalling, worse than an SMK, people are returning guns with poor springs, full of metal filings and burs, so much for HW quality. Hatsans are a lot better than most people like to make out!
