contrysports
Hi all I'm going to buy some pegs for my decoys to add more movement to the pattern and i just woundered which type you found most effective out of the normal spring sticks: Or the easy wobblers thanks for looking and if you know of any other types please let me know
simjakcal
both do a good job,,yet find the easy wobblers wobble around to much in a stronge wind..the spring sticks you can tighten down to compensate..
Martin&Oakley
I know nothing really, but looking at the both. The JP look like they will perform better and are cheaper. I'm being a tight **** and making homemade ones. I work for virginmedia and our thicker cables will support a decoy and wobble nicely, I will obviously take to copper out of the plastic trunk. telf
pinewood sporting keep spring sticks, three different lengths, the ones shown in the pics are made from wood but the new ones are made from aluminium and in july their fetching a base out for them so they move around to the wind something like a bouncer/floater. There more expensive but look to be the business,i have just ordered some am waiting on them coming
Cranfield
I have tried just about every decoy holder and will only use spring sticks. The shells stay on even in strong winds, as they are adjustable.
motty
If using a magnet or flapper, i have found spring sticks to be redundant.
ttab
I use brick bands from building sites cut to size work well.
JDog
I have not bothered with spring sticks for some time now though I do not doubt their effectiveness on difficult days when a bit of movement might just tip the balance as to whether a bird decoys or not. The attached shot shows flock coated shells just placed on the ground with dead birds added to the pattern. There are 6!!! oscarsdad
Eezzee wobblers are complete rubbish, just a bent bit of packing strapping from crates, don't waste your money!
telf
i received my new spring sticks from pinewood sporting yesterday and can honestly say they are the best sticks i have seen, solid, easy to adjust and very well made. as i said they are more expensive but on first impressions worth every penny

davew
I thought the eezy wobblers looked great until I tried them for the first time, they went straight in the dustbin when I got home.
