FOXHUNTER1
Last night saw me lying in ambush watching the edge of a wood to see if any foxes would show. 8.50 pm and just getting dark I noticed the shape of a fox crossing the field in front of me I got settled in to the rifle and as I watched through the scope she stopped for a toilet break , which is when I squeezed off the 100 grainer to see her poleaxed on the spot at 130 yards On inspection I noticed that this vixen had her bottom jaw totally smashed and lacerations and puncture wounds around her shoulder which were all fresh .......... the only explanation I could think of was that a terrier had been to ground with her that day and inflicted her injuries ? flynny
It amazes me just how resilient foxes can be, losing a lower jaw and still getting on with it!!!!!! You did it a favour mate it wouldn't have lasted long in that condition, Atb Flynny

Vince Green
Could it have been a badger? I don't have any idea what an old brock could do to a fox.

al4x
I had one like that last year, obviously she has cubs somewhere as well damage wise it could well be a badger either she decided to use the wrong hole or one thought the cubs might make a nice meal
