Martin&Oakley
Up and out at silly o'clock this morning. Took the dog out for his first experience with me shooting near him, other then the one time I went to A1 shooting grounds. Long story short, he chased more then I shot. I wasn't looking to get him retrieving and pointing. Just get him used to the noises and smells. I was expecting to be a complete nightmare like he normally is over the park but he did me proud. What we bagged, 5 bunnies 1 magpie and 1 woodie. I did get a crow with the air rifle but it seemed to vanish when I went to find it. - See more at: http://s306.photobucket.com/user/pikeytwat/media/image_zps5795df99.jpg.html#sthash.O6gdkoPJ.dpuf And one with the boy - See more at: http://s306.photobucket.com/user/pikeytwat/media/image_zps1fbca195.jpg.html#sthash.1Q7ij1S5.dpuf Hmmm not sure why it linked them. delburt0
certainly looks like a leveret to mei have been sporting shooting all my life starting beating at 6 , And I am afraid that does not pass as a rabbit of any breeding. But saying that if they are going to put it to good use obviously you can't sell them at this time of year, and if the landowner wants them dispatching for tree damage or any other legal requirement its Everyman to his own, Edited June 14, 2013 by delburt0

oscarsdad
All rabbits, black tips. Not getting into a debate, to tired. No debate to be had mate. 100% hare. I think you perhaps ought to stick to paper targets until you can 100% identify your quarry species. All very well mistaking the two in low light at distance which I suspect we have all done, but to not be able to identify it once it had been shot is getting silly... Cranfield
The animal in the centre of the picture is definitely a hare. I suspect that Martin&Oakley realise that now, as enough people have pointed it out. I don't think the issue needs debating further.
