Sprackles
Expecting a seasoned ex copper or similar...got a PCSO in his 20's. To be fair he seemed OK, asked lots of questions, swung off my cabinet etc.....then said he would be happy to put his name to my application. Just got to wait and see what comes and when now.. kaunda
Interesting to know what firearms related training a PCSO receives.
pat g
He could on the other hand be a shooting man himself. Seems like he would;nt need an awful lot of training if he has an insight into it from the off. Just a thought Good luck by the way ATB, Pat
CharlieT
Interesting to know what firearms related training a PCSO receives. About as much as my 11 year old grandson !
billytheghillie
had my fac visit in the middle of july, still waiting.
sitsinhedges
Think I would have ended up interviewing him about his knowledge rather than the other way around.
station
Did he say what experience he had or if he shot himself (that reads wrong I know - worse if you think I spelled shot wrongly !)
Paul T
PCSO? Really? I trust he was appointed due to his experience with firearms rather than the fact he's a PCSO. Hope it's a good result - I'm still waiting for a date for my interview. Just watch, it'll be with my local PCSO now
phaedra1106
Had a couple of visits from one of Durhams PCSO FEOs, mid to late 20s, very nice and very professional Got an older chap (real policeman!) when we moved house (still Durham), again very nice and totally professional
kyska
Think I would have ended up interviewing him about his knowledge rather than the other way around. How do you know that?
al4x
Round here they don't seem to be active shooters and that is probably a good thing as then there is less chance of them knowing applicants and showing any form of bias. The person may have been a PCSO but who is to say they haven't been trained for the role, by the sounds of it the questions got asked, the security checked and the rest sounds just as you would expect whoever your FEO was
Balian
had my fac visit in the middle of july, still waiting. I had my FAC visit on the 10th, licence issued on 27th and arrived in the post this morning. Seems to be a big variation on times scales depending where you live. lincs1963
Had pcso's for first application visits, but one of the Humberside firearms licensing officers (who are civilian ex policeman) round to see me when I put in for some variations.
