If you want plenty of totty around, get some horses - jodhpurtastic :good:

I don't know. They're not the willowy country girls they used to be. Round here they're mostly tubby middle aged townies whose husbands have bought them a nag and matching 4X4 so they won't get bored in the country.

Ah, but usually jail-bait adolescents

Exactly!

As our resident carpet muncher says 'man up you red blooded pigeon bashers'

Am I in trouble now?

Thank you all. Some sage advice and a few laughs.

I'm going to have a word – either get him to pay some rent and keep the place in shape or get shot.

If the latter then I'm tempted by some sheep of my own.

Finally, to all those who have justifiably reminded me how lucky I am – you're right! If only getting to this point didn't involve working my **** off I'd be doing all the 'good life' stuff out there.

As it is, I think I've got a few more years before I expand from five chickens and veg patch.

Cheers

One thing you might need to be careful of is the length of time the guy has been using the land, there may be some sort of legal rights if it has been some time, you don't want that to deal with! Just a thought.

We did consider putting sheep on the paddock at the place we moved into a couple of years ago, in the end we didn't do it because like any sort of stock they are something else to look after. Also thought about renting out but when you look at the rewards against potential for aggravation decided against it.

Bought a bit rotavator in the end and made a decent sized vegetable patch, it's been quite successful. Keep thinking about putting in a small lake and stocking it with carp but guess that would cost a fair bit.

I'd give you £2000 a year to train my spaniels on it and just keep some nice short white grass or something with a nice bit of cover and maybe a small rabbit pen.

No Hassel No Stress put your feet up and know your land is looked after.

They say Spaniel people are the nicest people you can meet.... if you can understand them :-)
