Suffolk shooter
Right, It appears that there are one or two people living in or around the Suffolk/Norfolk/Cambridge/Essex (Open to others as well, Injections/passports not required :o ) area on here and it would seem that nobody has organised a meet and greet session (That I could see). So, in order to expand everybodies aquaintenances and to have a good days shooting to boot, I propose that we have a meet and greet at Lakenheath Rod and Gun Club. (No idea why the Rod part as there are no lakes- but think it's a reminder from when the Yanks used to run it as part of RAF Lakenheath). If there is anybody out there who fancies a day out shooting the clays as well as meeting people off of here, reply against this and I'll try and organise a day in Feb/March (Gives people chance to organise themselves/save up or in LB's case time to programme that steam driven Sat Nav ). Having attended the Monday Madness Shoot in Kent earlier this year, I can say it is really good fun and no doubts the usual subjects like Mungler, LB, Martin Cavie, Ferretboy111, Farmerguy22 will be there as well as others. I will have a chat with Peter the guy who owns it to see if we can get a Monday madness style day and similar cost, failing that we'll have to press are own buttons Hope you're interested SS

Cat easy we'll just get LB and SS to get up there and do a turn, that'll clear the place in 30 flat Assuming that was LB and SS as in Stealth Stalker, because with my wonderful Svelt Godlike figure, there'd be more Women entering than leaving obviously. :o On a more serious note, would people prefer a weekday or weekend. (Weekend's get busy and they might not be keen to do a Monday Madness type thing). I am happy with which ever people prefer and will ask cost on both. See if I get this right, The Monday madness cost was about £65 for a cooked breakfast and as many clays as we could hit (or miss in most cases ). Lunch we had to pay for, but tea and coffee throughout the day was included. Somebody who was there will no doubt correct me on this one :( Last time I went, before the game season started there were something like 22-25 sporting stands (Not all operational at the same time 17/18), 4 skeet ranges with one at least being NSSC (American skeet). 1 DTL, 1 ABT, 1 compact sporting range and the rookery range (supposed to imitate a rookery hence the name), plus there was a patterning plate, and oh yeah lap/pole dancers Hopefully the above is correct and once someone confirms the Monday madness thing to me I will try and sort it out. Cheers SS
Suffolk shooter
Further to APBUILD's post re Spiders Appeal, would anybody thinking of attending have any objection if we tried to raise money for the cause by saying £5/person donation on the day. It is a worthwhile cause, and we the lucky ones ought to remember those who are unable to attend due to the varying illness caused by cancer that stop those from enjoying that for which we take for granted. Suffolk shooter
LB, even you can't get lost on this one, trust me, it's main roads all the way until immediately before the place. You could even follow the smoke coming out of Mungler's lime green Capri Ghia. I have sent an email to Peter asking if we can do a similar thing to the Monday madness and asked if we could do something for the same sort of price as that day in Kent. I have asked him for a mid-week date (Mon or Friday) at the end of Feb, beginning of March. I didn't ask for anybody to push the buttons though, feeling we we're all mature enough to be able to do that I'll phone and speak to him during the week as well. So watch this space.
