I posted and have now had someone, rather rudely, tell me I should be banned as I've posted in the wrong place and against rules etc. I have no idea how to navigate the site or what I should be doing. I have to say after my experience with the one rather nasty member who would not listen to my admission of making a mistake or my reasoning for it I think I'll be leaving this site. I haven't found any rules to be particularly clear and I do not want abuse from random keyboard warriors. Thank you for replying to me though. Paul taylor Posted October 20, 2013 Report Share Posted October 20, 2013 Welcome you are some how supposed to know all the rules before you join and dont dare spell anything wrong or use bad grammar or certain members will ask for a public hanging, some only come on to wind people up or belittle them. Some though are very experienced and generous in sharing what they have learnt and use the forum as intended so stick with it and you will learn to ignore the mardy bums and enjoy the rest. I am a bit sensitive at the moment as mum (dog) jumped on one of the pups last week and has badly damaged her leg. I've been in and out of the vets and in to see a specialist next week with having to look at possible surgery. All before she's even 6 weeks old. A friend recommended this site to me and didn't know I'd have to wait 6 months before I could post a for sale add. Everyone has been very kind since this person was so harsh which has really meant a lot. I would name and shame but I honestly couldn't tell you who they were and to be honest, it really doesn't matter. If they have nothing better to do than throw abuse at someone looking for help then that's fine. And ps their grammar was terrible. It always ruins your point if you have a go but can't write correctly, you just sound like a moron, lol. I don't know if I'll get shot for this but since I am unable to post my litter of pups for sale, does anyone know anywhere good I am able to advertise them? I find the 6 month rule a bit crazy and have sent a PM to Admin asking why. I find this site quite heavily moderated at times so deleting spam that get's through filters and onto the sales section shouldn't be a problem for the mods. I never saw who was rude to you but whoever it was ought to wind their neck in. Too many peds & keyboard warriors on here. smokinggun Posted October 20, 2013 Report Share Posted October 20, 2013 sounds like a idiot that had a go at you immie87, there are some on here that arent worth bothering with which i just add to my ignore posts sections and you wont see any of the posts they make again, you can do the same on your profile, but there are a hell of a lot of really nice members and a lot of them really helped me with information and advice when i applied for my first shotgun certificate and again afterwards, I have met some of the members and chatted to one a lot through pm's and they have all been really great guys, it is a great forum and i am addicted and read threads on here everyday as you can learn a lot and be entertained as well, Im sure you will enjoy it on here and i hope you find very good homes for your pups. It's worth remembering that people don't have to provide proof of who they are and it's easy to be a big man when you're not actually face to face.
