Hamster
They are meant to be there, their purpose is to vent gasses in case the firing pins ever puncture a primer. Thank god he didn't get it glued like I was suggesting.

Hamster
yep no glue needed hammy have u been to gatton bottom lately thinking of going next weekend Got a nice beating a few weeks back at Court Farm but will be back. Both their shoots are quite good, excellent in fact save for when they throw going away pairs off manual arms.
Ugb25
Would that be the silly pair of going away floppers in the wooded section lol it sounds like it's worth a visit again so weather permitting going to go Sunday

Ugb25
I really enjoyed shooting it today and it didn't disappoint I thought 31x70 was ok as it was a normal sporting layout and high gun was 55x70 only 2 stands were a bit to much but with practice may be a 40x70 is possible you really do have to work at it though
Ugb25
I know it's been a little while but tommorow is 2nd shoot with 410 got 31x70 to beat at sporting it's a challenge
bicykillgaz
I know it's been a little while but tommorow is 2nd shoot with 410 got 31x70 to beat at sporting it's a challenge Let us know how you get on mate, I miss having a .410 I'm gonna have to get another. There a very capable little gun as I'm sure your finding out.
Rimfireboy
I use Cheddite Drago 18gms size eight shot through my .410. Very good breaks at longer range too. I use eley fourlongs, they break rats at short range, don't rate the 3 inch carts in my lightweight chimbo. The gun only weighs two pounds. Also use a 9mm flobert cartridge b/a garden gun for rats around buildings. I've shot a few crows and magpies with the fourten at twenty odd yards. If I want to shoot further I don't take the fourten. Ugb25
I am finding the limits and with the eley 3" trap carts is pretty impressive up to about 30yards it also helps the concentration as u either miss by a mile or break it there's not a lot of room for error
Ugb25
Shot 410 again and shot 39x70 never blanked a stand and straighted 1 hard work but worth it
Ugb25
Hello all I went back to robinhood again today with 410 and despite being full of flu shot a 30x70 which could of been a 40+ I'm going to try a 100 bird shoot as soon as the weather improves just for the hell of it
Edwardgiles123
To be honest I own a 410 and I go sporting with it all the time it has a 3" chamber and will shoot all say long. But the only downside is that it is single barrel. The make is Turkish it's called yildiz. They are around £

Cambsman
It's great fun. Simple as that. Makes you think and I suspect has helped my 12g shooting. But mostly it's just fun!
beeredup
yeah i enjoy shooting my huglu 410 and i also have the yildiz youth too for the nephews to use both o/u they are great fun on the clays i am just setting up to load my own cartridges too as it seems reloading in the smaller gauges is still worth while and cost effective
welshwarrior
I was give an OU 410 last week with 3" chambers I'm going to test it out on the Sporting lay out tomorrow looking forward to some fun!
Ugb25
I think it's possible to shoot at least 50% with the 410 unfortunately I can't shoot for a while due to possible redundancy :( but in the last 3 months have enjoyed shooting the little huglu as have many other shooters who have mainly been pretty amazed at its performance
beeredup
know people who can hit much more than 50% on a sporting layout just its a lot harder
dr. lecter
sorry to be negative , but its a waste of time and money , of which I have very little to spare . cost of ammo is robbery .
