ky322
Just received a gdk 3 gun cabinet in the strength of applyin for sgc. Opened the box and unwrapped it to discover I cant get the keys to unlock it? Is ther a sequence to open them or should it just be a simpke case of turning the keys and openong the door
elgreco
Have you tried both sets of keys in each lock? They will only fit one as they are both different. Failing that I think you may have the wrong keys. Cheers Tom
Blunderbust
I am afraid it sounds like they may have mixed the keys up. Then again, at least you got your safe. GDK don't seem to be doing to well when it comes to reliability. I seem to remember some one else having problems with them, indeed I decided not to buy one of there ammo safes due to the last negative thread. fruity
Did you order the super high security one ?
ky322
Tried both sets of keys. The top one turns half way round but not fully open but the bottom is solid. Really cannot fault delivery etc as I ordered it 2pm yesterday and it was here at 3pm today and thats delivered to Campbeltown. If I could just get into the bloody thing now it would be 1st class but sending the wrong keys has really left a sour taste, especially when postage is £30 a whip I certainly hope im not left with another 2 postage charges to get it sorted
ky322
Things are going from bad to worse, on checking my order for the cabinet I see Ordered the lined cabinet with handle. They have sent the standard cabinet, no lining, no handle. I think i'll go for a refund and go elsewhere

scouser
belive it or not, a good locksmith can open most gunsafes, but he can,t do nothing about the keys.
GingerCat
On a side note I know a professional safe breaker, having used him to open a few safes (mostly in less than 2 mins) if you get stuck and are near south London give me a pm. Re this particular safe it sounds like you have the wrong keys.

Mark L
I just got a gdk safe. fast delivery and the safe looks good and the locks all work ok
Leiopython
I just found this thread by googling the same problem!! My GDK safe arrived this morning (can't fault delivery), and I unpacked it but couldn't for the life of me open it!! However, persevered and it's fine now. It seems the keys have to go into a certain depth else they'll just spin, and it takes two turns to unlock it. It's definitely not the highest quality safe I've seen but for £70 delivered brand new it's good enough.
HDAV
Are these the ones with the red locks? Noticed them online the otherday
Bansk65
Mine came next day, you have to turn the keys twice in the lock to open it, as its double locked. Can't fault mine !
