Shooting Times!

My latest installment of things to do with spent 12g cartridges!

OK not EXACTLY a 12g cartridge but recycled non the less!

A BIG thanks to Islandgun for his contribution "without which I couldn't have made this!

Now then! I decided I wanted a small paperweight! Something not too big to clutter the desk but just enough to weigh down papers to stop them getting blown about!

I thought of a 12g base filled with lead to start with!

Now I was trolling through a few local charity shops when something caught my eye! A nice little micro clock! Hmmmmm I thought to myself! That looks about the same size as a 12g base!

So I lay down my £4 and take a cheeky punt!

I got home! Stripped it down and tried to offer a 12g base to the base of the clock  The base was JUST too small to slide on! I was gutted!

Then I decided to ask on the forum for a spent 10g cart! That's where Islandgun stepped in!

I got home from work last night to find the envelope on the table waiting for me! I took one of the cases out and heated the base to remove it! Tried it on for size! JUST too wide

Then I got to thinking! I may as well CUT one off and ream out the plastic! Ta Dah!!!! :yahoo: :yahoo:

Filled the base with lead shot and resin! Molten lead would have melted the little plastic spacer that was left for a snug fit!

Here you go! Shooting Times!
