ack-ack
Did any of our Essex brethren catch a glimpse of this magical phenomena through their greco-romano pergola's last night?
Penelope
I did see a green glow over Harlow last night, but thought it was the usual skunk haze. Did any of our Essex brethren catch a glimpse of this magical phenomena through their greco-romano pergola's last night?

Penelope
I must admit I did not about until this morning. I think the cloud cover will be too heavy tonight, plus I was in bed, asleep by 9 o'clock. Thats sad, nobody could pull themselves away from their 78 inch waffer thin wall mounted light projecting behemoths to witness a seldom seen phenomena :-(
ollie
I was out lamping last night in North Antrim. It was a really clear night and I swore I could see the Northern Lights faintly, but then I thought I must have been imagining things. I then saw the news today. I have saw the Northern Lights in Canada so it was nothing in comparison, but it was nice to see them here even faintly.

mick miller
I stood and watched for a few hours, there was a faint green glow here, which moved in brightness from point top point on the horizon. I'm afraid this far south that's about the best your going to get! Don't forget, a lot of the photos that show more detail tend to be long exposure jobs so show more detail than you will see with the naked eye. Still quite impressive nonetheless to see the Aurora this far south at all.
AVB
We don't want any of that northern muck down here thanks.
Paddy Galore!
all the pictures taken were taken using brief time exposure, very pretty none the less, i didn't see anything while out having a smoke, got a good view of the heavens too and i regularly see meteorites.
