TIGHTCHOKE
As above, I carry four guy ropes and four pegs, makes the hide very secure in the wind.
BRNDL
Tent peg the net and buy some clips to clip the net to the poles to save it blowing about. £1 for 8 at my local pound shop!
The Essex Hunter
Face the foot of the hide pole so the wind pushes against it....set them also at a slight angle into the wind.... TEH

remmyman
To elaborate on my earlier post; the bungee straps that I use are the 'Karibiner' type which are exceptionally strong. I only secure them to the rear poles. I always wear shooting glasses, whether out in the field or on the range. Due to the weight of the karibiners allied to very low tension on the elastic itself, coupled to my use of metal t/pegs, the risk to myself is virtually non-existent. Yes, i will concede that any non-stretch material is the safest option, but as i said earlier this system works for me, never say never, but no near misses(pun intended) after 30 odd years. I've certainly had far more close calls due to getting 'swiped' by branches/thorns whilst building natural hides in the past.
