hi all

had a quick two hours out yesterday i was not going to bother but she was glued to the soaps so thought balls to this im off..

when i got there i thought id look for a bunny i had taken the hmr so a fox could get it too if one showed..

i headed to the small spinney to have a sneaky peak at the buzzard nest i kept my distance and watched in the binoculars then i heard a rustle from my right in the bushed followed by the sound of fox cubs fighting i stayed still for a minuet and cough a glimpse of a well on cub...

i thought i would sit it out there and see what turns up..

within 10 minuets the vixen came walking down the path she got within 50 yards from me then noticed i was there but it was too late down she went another fallen to the little hmr.... i placed her down near where i had spotted the cubs but for the rest of the evening they didn't show

the cubs where on the greener grass that's where the vixen is lying about 40 yards away...

she was another small one ...
i now will put the time in to catch up with the rest of the litter and the dog....
many thanks.. andy

That should keep the numbers down camokid!

many on here will be experienced enough to know already but I'm learning lately that once you get to know the land you shoot on you can manage numbers properly rather than trying to eradicate whatever pest species your dealing with, I find that part of it very satisfying.

this farm is half crop and half sheep grazing with a nice wild population of pheasant and partridge it seams to be a magnet for foxes offering food water and cover its on the edge of a village and has a big allotment on one end i think that helps with the insect part of there diet .. im there weekly and most of the time see if not shoot a fox ...its a on going job i still have another den to looks at...

sounds good. I've not got fac at the mo. Looking to emigrate to Oz but if that fails I'll put in for it, would love some foxing but they're no problem on my main perm as it dairy so just a bit of competition for the bunnies.

The fox is the one with the long tail.

I marvel at you chaps who manage to get so many foxes and cubs. I do not have the patience.
