FOXHUNTER1
I was out last night for a wander seeing as it was another nice evening. I stalked along a peaceful stretch of ground where I haven't ventured yet this season hoping to catch out a fox or buck but the only thing I saw was a very heavily pregnant doe , which still managed to jump a high fence with ease.... I continued around my usual route heading towards a very prominent fraying stock which I had found a few weeks prior. As I approached this area I slowed to a standstill , checking the bushes in front of me with my bins when all of a sudden a pair of antlers appeared from the undergrowth I dropped to my knees , opened my sticks and dropped him on the spot You can see the fraying stock in the background .......... Dave-G
Very nice. For the benefit of non-stalkers could you tell us what a fraying stock is? I guess its something they rub their antlers on but does it have any other significance - like marking its patch etc.
