JDog
And it has been a long time since the last time which was when Lady JDog was out to impress and came decoying with me. There was only one seat so she had to sit on my knee. This time Fruity came from the Forest Of Dean for an afternoon's decoying. The choice was between spring rape and clover and I chose the clover. I could see the spring rape four fields away during our session and I probably chose the wrong field. Within seconds of being in the hide the first birds arrived and we shot one each. After that Fruity lost his confidence for a while and started to analize his shooting which to my mind is always a retrograde step. The second half of the session saw an improvement in his shooting much to the relief of both of us and he ended up with some nice shots. We picked 36 pigeons and three crows. Whitebridges
Lovely to see such a nice clover lay. The pigeons love that stuff. I've heard some rum ol' stories about yew boys from the Forest of Dean. Well shot!

marsh man
Did you have two seats today JDog , or did fruity have to sit on your knee or visa versa , could have been why his form wasn't up to scratch to begin with , your clover looks well, the only time we see it is when its on grazing land and even then its not as good as yours look. Two hides and two seats. The silage was only taken off that field three weeks ago. The clover is strong regrowth since then.
