Big Mat
Here are a few videos the boss has done of the various things we do. Some of what we do perhaps not many of here have seen. The first video is mainly just a look at the field. http://youtu.be/M_p-MTbhhe0?list=UUmFMDG-Rckw7B9JrFHVtvpw http://youtu.be/JrVpfkkoLR4?list=UUmFMDG-Rckw7B9JrFHVtvpw http://youtu.be/F4-IgTBzaHs?list=UUmFMDG-Rckw7B9JrFHVtvpw Edited September 4, 2014 by Big Mat
Paul taylor
A bit of an insight of what goes on in the fields as I drive past wondering whats goin on. Thanks Mat quite interesting. I'll put money on most tractors not playing scary music like yours though! Lol

Big Mat
No tip toeing there then. We do like to do things at full speed. Usually all the tractors would be doing something, but they'd just finished sub soiling and the plough man was doing a repair!
maxie
That looks like a potato planter.
Big Mat
That looks like a potato planter. Its similar but a little more complicated. The planter also converts to plant tulips, lillies and gladis. It planted the tulips featured in the other videos.

Konnie
whats, the purpose of the mesh over the tulips
Big Mat
It is meant to give a better bulb. It also makes it alot nice when it comes to harvesting the bulbs as because the bulbs are between two nets, when you lift the nets you only get bulbs and no unwanted extras like stone and alot of soil. It means we can removed another process back on the yard and cut down on labour in the field.

Big Mat
I take it that is Dutch equipment then? Yes, the planter is a new one, only arrived last weekend. It is taking some getting used to. Poor old 6310 struggles with it
Jockdude
I take it you have some sort of auto steer or GPS system for working in the wheelings? Takes some of the effort out if the job. I like it!
Big Mat
I take it you have some sort of auto steer or GPS system for working in the wheelings? Takes some of the effort out if the job. I like it! We do when it works! It makes planting with the nets alot easier. Means we get more done per day as well, which is good as we are trying to get done before the weather turns bad!
