blackbird
I am thinking of getting an adjustable comb fitted to my Browning 425 grade 6, can anybody recommend a gunsmith to carry out this work & by having this work done do you think it will devalue my gun. loriusgarrulus
My adjustable comb was done for me at Dovridge. Excellent job was made of it. As to valuation effect on it I don,t know. Valuation only matters if you are planning to sell it. If you need an adjustable comb,it will make the gun more valuable to you. It'll add value (if done well) - Take it to Simon at Doveridge
fitzy
I'd recommend Eryl Jones. I've sent pm with contact details.

Gordon R
It should add value to your gun. There are a few who do a good job. I have seen one done at Doveridge - tidy job. I have also been very impressed by Welsh warrior's work.
Biddy
All work carried out by Daf (welsh Warrior)
Gordon R
Having done four of these myself, I feel in a position to say Welsh Warrior's work is very, very good. I have seen some, done by professionals, which were shoddy.

dewy14
had mine done by Simon at Doveridge.very nice work but make sure you need one. Turned out my gun needed an adjustable pad so the comb is set how it was cut from the stock.

(Not done by WW I might add!)
Gordon R
I well remember that one. Truly amateurish.
Harnser
Measure twice and cut once . Don't mess it up as it would be expensive . I Finnish all my own stocks but I wouldn't attempt doing that . Harnser

Cornishpirate
What is the average cost for getting this done?
flyshooter
What is the average cost for getting this done? I had an adjustable comb fitted by Jim Spalding of Mersea three weeks ago cost about £200, chuft to bits with it.
